Hello! My name is Mohan Kumar Sunuwar, Mokusu. I am a self-taught hobbyist photographer, a true nature lover, and a traditional bamboo flute player (self-taught too!). I was born and grew up in a remote village in Nepal. Currently, I live and work in Massachusetts.

As a village boy, I spent dawn to dusk in the woods, raising livestock, fetching fodders/fire woods, climbing up trees that are  multiple times taller than myself, and scaring away monkeys who came to steal our vegetables and crops.

I did not mind the taste of that salty sweat while walking uphill carrying heavy things, wound on my toes from walking bare feet and tripping on a rock was not a big deal, bleeding all over my legs from leech bites was not unusual, shore from khar (thin long thatch grass with sharp edges) scratches on my chick and neck never bothered me. I saw the nurturing love when a mother bird fed insects to her hatchlings, I witnessed the cruelty and the hunger when a tiger grabbed my own goat, and glimpsed the beauty of rainbow when the sun and rain collided. I looked at the sunrise to realize it was a new day and watched sunset noticing there was a tomorrow coming. Flowing river showed me the endurance I needed to have, and waterfalls and spring wind sowed music in me.

My affection to the nature today is more than ever. I take pictures so I can be in the nature and play flute to pay my respect to the nature! I am sharing some pictures with you in this site and hoping to upload some flute pieces in the future.
